Hard Water Treatment - When you need soft water

Hard water treatmeant is necessary if you find that your faucets are corroding months after you bought them, or your coffemaker clogs on a frequent basis. Or even if you spend too much time cleaning ugly soap scum off your bathtub and glass shower enclosure doors.

The first thing you should do if you think you need soft water is have the hardness of your water tested to discover how hard your water actually is. Visit the hard water page to find out what hard water is and how it is measured.

If you discover that your water is hard, your options include installing a whole house water treatment system or treating the water at the tap. If you rent, or plan to move, treating water at the tap is a viable option.
